Why did you choose this college?
I chose the Air Force Academy for several reasons. I can get a degree in Business Management with the opportunity to follow up with a Masters Degree immediately. They have a top 20 lacrosse program. I love the school and the coaching staff. Plus, a degree from the Air Force Academy will provide tremendous opportunities for my long term future.
What are your first memories of the sport?
My first lacrosse memories are going to the field with my dad and learning how to throw, catch and cradle with both hands.
What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
I was most surprised by how fast things can happen once colleges start expressing interest. For those who are just starting the process I would tell them to keep an open mind. There are literally thousands of colleges out there. Don’t limit yourself to only having interest in a couple.
Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I have been playing lacrosse for many years and there are a lot of people that have helped me get to where I am today. First, I want thank my dad and mom for always encouraging and supporting me as well as driving me all over the place for school, practices and games. Also, my sisters for coming to games whenever they could – even driving from college to see me play.
I want to thank Terry Crowley and all the coaches at St. Thomas Aquinas and Florida Xtreme Lacrosse. I have been a part of this program for many years and it helped me develop into the player I am today. Over the past couple years I also became involved with Sweetlax Florida Lacrosse where Kevin Martin, Tommy Costanza and my coaches have been instrumental in helping me get seen and recruited. Lastly, I want to thank all of the friends I have made through lacrosse. They are the reason I love the game!
