Jordyn Humphrey scored for the second straight game

Greenville, S.C. — Hannah Demis scored four goals and added three assists as Furman defeated Stetson 19-5 Sunday afternoon at Paladin Stadium.
Five different players scored goals for the Hatters (1-5), who completed their two-game swing through South Carolina with a 1-1 mark. Stetson defeated Wofford 18-7 on Friday.
Camden Frissora,
Saige-Lyn Gidzinski, and
Erin Collier each scored first half goals, while
Quinn Roe and
Jordyn Humphrey tallied markers in the second half. Roe extended her goal-scoring streak to five games.
Starting goalkeeper
Kiera McCarthy made six saves in 47 minutes of work.
Sydney Heimann added a pair of stops in relief.
Stetson trailed just 5-2 through the first 20 minutes of play, but Furman (9-3) scored four times in the final 10 minutes to take a 9-3 lead into the break. The Paladins scored the first three goals of the second half to pull away.
The Hatters will return home next weekend for a pair of games at the ATC. Stetson will host ASUN foe Liberty at 4 p.m. Friday and Coastal Carolina at 12 p.m. Sunday.
