Taylor Patrizi (4), Shelby LehmannDevon McKercher andRachel Valocchi (3), and Karli Maguire and Hallie Merz (2) all notched crooked numbers in the goals column as the Hatters (2-7) won for the second time in four games. The 22 goals represent not only a season-high for Stetson, but are the most for the Hatters since scoring a program-record 24 against Delaware State on April 2, 2017. Stetson wasted no time in setting the tone against the Terriers (0-9), scoring twice in the game’s first 118 seconds. Up 2-0, Stetson followed with goals by Riley Reagan, McKercher and Sandra Stephan for a 5-0 advantage. The lead reached 10-0 when Valocchi scored the first of consecutive goals with 15:44 left in the first half, and it was 12-0 before Wofford found the back of the net. Stetson led 14-2 at halftime. The Hatters out-scored Wofford, 8-0, in the second half as six different players scored. Liza Diamond and Kiera McCarthy split time in goal, with each playing one half. Both players made one save each. Stetson out-shot Wofford, 36-7, and won 19 of 25 draws. Reagan finished five assists while Merz added five. Maddie Holvey tied her own school record with 10 draw controls, while also adding three ground balls. The Hatters next visit Furman, Noon, Saturday.
