I chose this college because the high level of play, the team culture, the history behind the team, the coaching staff, the academics especially the Perdue Business School, and the size and location of the school. It felt like home to me. What are your first memories of the sport? My first memory of lacrosse was me struggling to pick up a ground ball for the first time. I remember trying to make my first pass and missing by a lot. Also having Casey Powell come to talk to my club team when I was young was very inspiring and something I will never forget. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? I wasn’t surprised with the process as much as the amount of hard work it takes on and off the field. I spent hours contacting coaches via phone calls and emails, and putting together highlight videos and working to improve my game. I would tell future recruits to not be scared or anxious when contacting coaches. Research the school first, be prepared with questions for the coach(es), and be yourself. Don’t give up.
