UF: Cristodero Tabbed Big East Freshman of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida defender Sabrina Cristodero was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by the conference office.
Cristodero tied a UF freshman record by winning eight draw controls in UF’s overtime win over No. 23 Loyola, including the crucial opening draw of overtime to give the Gators possession and ultimately the chance to win the game.
The freshman also caused two turnovers and collected a ground ball to round out her performance. Through three games, Cristodero leads Florida in draw controls (15) and caused turnovers (6).
The No. 4 Gators are back in action on Wednesday night against Jacksonville at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
