Michigan was easily the best choice, both athletically and academically. I come from a huge Michigan family, and the first time I got to be on campus it felt like home to me. The facilities are outstanding and the program is only getting better and better. The coaches are absolutely amazing, you really can’t get much better than them. It meant a lot to me that they didn’t let my injury define me as a lacrosse player and as the player I will be in the future. I could not be more excited to represent the University of Michigan in maize and blue!! What are your first memories of the sport? My first memories in the sport are watching my older brothers’ lacrosse games at VBHS and attending one of the Vero Beach Girl’s Lacrosse State Championships when I was little. Watching them win over and over again was amazing. Later on, I played in my first recreational lacrosse game with Vero’s Sundevils team. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? A piece of advice I got from my coaches was “everything happens for a reason.” It could not be a more accurate statement. You will end up where you’re supposed to be, whether or not it happens quickly or it takes a long time… it’s all for a reason. Who would you like to thank for helping you get here? First off, my mom and dad have sacrificed so much to get me where I am today. My dad drives me three days a week (90 miles) down south to attend every single FL Select practice and physical therapy for my knee. My parents are my biggest supporters. Next, I would like to thank my Florida Select and Vero coaches. Without them, I never would have the confidence and grit that I have now, and they have always pushed me to be my very best. I want to thank the best teammates in the world for always being by my side through blood, sweat, and tears. Lastly, I want to thank BARWIS Methods and Athletes Advantage for helping me with my injury and training me to soon get back out on the field.
