Jupiter Tops St. Andrew’s to Advance to State Title Game for First Time in School History

Over the past decade,
Jupiter coaches Nick O’Hara and Danny Loftus have slowly developed the public-school program into one that could compete with the state’s elite.
While the Warriors have suffered some heartbreaking postseason defeats along the way, the team now is on the doorstep of capturing its first championship.
Making its first state tournament appearance since 2012, Jupiter raced out to a five-goal halftime lead over St. Andrew’s and cruised from there, winning 12-5 to advance to Saturday’s title game. The Warriors will face Bishop Moore at 8 p.m. at Boca Raton High School.
Jupiter is looking to become the first public school to win a FHSAA boys lacrosse state championship.
Chris Radice, Benno Janssen, Riley Linden, Trevor Sousa and Max Sanderson all scored two goals for Jupiter, while Kai Stampar and Jack Lambert each added one. Standout faceoff specialist Dylan Frankhouser went 10/16 at the ‘x.’
