ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College’s head men’s lacrosse coach Brian Duncan has announced the 2023 schedule for the program’s second season.

“The staff is excited for year two,” said head coach Brian Duncan. “We’re fired up to have five home night games and nine total home games. The community is anxiously awaiting to see us compete and show our growth from year one!”

The Saints have a 15-game schedule, with nine games set to be played at Flagler Lacrosse Field. Of the 15 matches Duncan scheduled, four are against 2022 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) top-20 ranked teams.

Flagler opens the 2023 season at home Feb. 1 hosting Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at 7 p.m. in the nation’s oldest city. The Saints welcome Palm Beach Atlantic University the following week Feb. 10.

The squad hits the road to face defending national champion, the University of Tampa, Feb. 15, before returning home to host a top-20 ranked Florida Tech Feb. 18.

Flagler then has a pair of road games first with a stop in Boca Raton, Florida to visit Lynn University (Feb. 25) and then to a top-20 Rollins College (March 4) in Winter Park, Florida.

The Saints host three straight home games at Flagler Lacrosse field, starting with the University of Mount Olive (March 7), followed by Saint Leo University (March 11) and finishing the home stand with Quincy University (March 14).

Flagler rounds out its non-conference slate with a road game at top-20 ranked Florida Southern College March 17 in Lakeland, Florida.

The Saints host the University of Montevallo in the Peach Belt Conference opener March 25 before traveling to Georgia to face Young Harris College April 1.

The team hosts Shorter University (April 8) followed by Lander University (April 15) before closing out the regular season on the road at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (April 23).

The 2023 Peach Belt Conference Men’s Lacrosse Tournament begins with the quarterfinals and semifinals held April 28-30, with the championship held May 6.

The crimson and gold are coming off a 3-14 inaugural season, going 2-3 in PBC play. The Saints got their first program win April 2, 2022, defeating Young Harris 22-7 on senior day.
