Very minor movement in this week’s Top 15 in 1A as most of the teams played out-of-state powers and we don’t really try to take those games into account. Saint Andrew’s gave MIAA power Boys’ Latin all they could handle before the Lakers pulled away in the fourth quarter.
St. Edward’s gathered a win over Episcopal Dallas and lost a close game to IMG. IMG games also don’t figure into my thinking since you don’t usually face the same IMG team every time.
Saint Andrew’s faces St. Thomas on Thursday in Ft. Lauderdale in the latest clash of their long-time rivalry. while St. Edward’s hosts Jupiter on Saturday.
Bolles split with two North Carolina teams and travels to Winter Park on Tuesday. Benjamin took a big win at LHP and lost a close one to IMG. They play at Saint John Paul on Tuesday and host Pine Crest on Friday.
Oxbridge lost to Episcopal Dallas on Saturday after beating Canterbury on Friday and has two easy games this week. Pine Crest went 3-0 on the week against their lesser competition and has that game at Benjamin Friday.
Jesuit of Tampa did not play this week and has only Forest this week. Oak Hall had an easy win this week and only has two games left, with April 6th against Ponte Vedra and April 8th versus Bolles, so their resume for the District seeding is already set.
Montverde lost to MIAA powerhouses and travels to Winter Park on Saturday. Belen moves up one spot after going 3-0 while Saint John Paul falls one slot after going 1-1 on the week, with the loss to Western and the win over Gulf Coast.
Cardinal Mooney jumps one spot after not playing, while they face Community School Tuesday before facing Plant on Friday on the road. Lake Highland swaps places after their two losses to Benjamin and St. Thomas.
American Heritage-Plantation earned an easy win and face King’s Academy on Tuesday while Canterbury took down Out-of-Door and then lost at Oxbridge.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville has now done enough to get back into the Also Considered category, while other schools like Bishop Moore, Gulf Breeze, Maclay and Cocoa Beach still need to do more.
