Women’s Lacrosse Adds Tedesco to Coaching Staff

Florida native joins BU from Kennesaw State, Winthrop University

VESTAL, N.Y. (BUBearcats.com) – The Binghamton University women’s lacrosse team has added Bianca Tedesco to its 2023-24 coaching staff, announced Head Coach Stephanie Allen Monday. Tedesco will serve as Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Bearcat program.

“I am very excited to welcome Bianca to our staff and the Binghamton lacrosse family,” said Allen. “Her experience along with her coaching philosophy will undoubtedly help develop our players into the strong, competitive women we are striving for.”

Tedesco comes to BU after a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Kennesaw State where she aided the Owls to their best record (11-7) in program history and to a single-season program record in points, goals and man-up goals. She coached Kennesaw State to two ASUN conference tournaments, including a semifinal appearance in 2022.

Under her leadership, KSU had the 2023 ASUN Conference Freshman of the year and multiple All-Conference players.

Tedesco coached one of the most decorated players in KSU program history, Siena Gore. The first-ever player to be named All-ASUN First Team four times, she was also the first player in KSU women’s lacrosse history to earn national accolades. Gore became the first player in school history to be named to IWLCA All-Region and an Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American designation.

Tedesco has also been an assistant coach with the Lax Maniax Travel Lacrosse Club since 2017.

Tedesco was a five-year member of the Winthrop University women’s lacrosse program from 2016 to 2021 before her coaching career. She holds the Eagles record for single game assists with eight.

The 2021 graduate had an impressive senior season where she earned First Team All-Conference honors in the Big South following a 20-goal, 42-assist season. She started all 15 games for the Eagles as a redshirt-senior and finished her career with 22 consecutive starts after missing 2019 with injury.

The Coral Springs, Fla. native earned a B.S. in Human Nutrition with a Minor in Coaching. She also was a nutrition student advisory board member and ambassador program member at Winthrop. She arrived at Winthrop following a four-year letter-winning prep career at the Pine Crest School. Tedesco was named a first team US Lacrosse All-American in 2015 and 2016.
