Sarah Reznick tabbed to Second Team; Becky Browndorf, Emily Heller and Emma LoPinto earn Third Team nod

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four members of the Florida lacrosse team added another postseason honor to their resume as the ILWomen All-Americans were announced Thursday morning.

Sarah Reznick earned a spot on the Second Team, while Becky Browndorf, Emily Heller and Emma LoPinto each found themselves as Third Team All-Americans.

This is the second ILWomen All-America honor for the trio of Reznick, Heller and LoPinto, while Browndorf earned the first All-American nod of her career.

This quartet also found themselves on one of the two IWLCA All-Region Teams, announced on May 11. Reznick, Heller and LoPinto each earned a spot on the All-Region First Team, while Browndorf was named as a Second Team honoree.

The Gators finished the 2023 season with a 17-4 record overall and a 5-1 run in conference play. For the 10th time in program history, including the ninth-straight year, the Gators were able to hoist the conference tournament championship trophy, having defeated then-No. 6 James Madison in the AAC Championship game.

In the seventh year of this award, ILWomen staff and contributors were asked to select four first-team, four second-team, and four third-team attackers and defenders, then three first-team, three second-team and three third-team midfielders, and finally one first-team, one second-team and one third-team draw specialist and goalkeeper. The teams were selected based on the cumulative total of votes received, with honorable mention honorees receiving more than one vote.

• Posted 17 saves against Jacksonville in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament, a career-high and program record
• Against James Madison on May 6, she became Florida’s all-time leader in career saves
• Ranks in the Top-15 in the conference in the following categories:
  • Save percentage: 1st | .539
  • Saves per game: 1st | 9.62
  • Goals against average: 2nd | 9.45
• Tallied a career-high .857 save percentage against Liberty on April 12, allowing only two goals
• Four-time AAC Goalkeeper of the Week
• Two-time AAC Honor Roll selection
• Drafted 10th in the Athletes Unlimited College Lacrosse Draft

Becky Browndorf | Sr. | Defender

• 2023 ILWomen Third Team All-American
• 2023 IWLCA All-Region Second Team
• 2023 All-AAC Second Team
• 2023 AAC All-Tournament Team
• Marked either top attacker or second-leading of each opponent the Gators have faced this season
• Leads the team with 20 caused turnovers this season
• Two-time AAC Defender of the Week
• Ranks in the Top-15 in the league in the following categories:
  • Caused turnovers per game: 12th | 1.05
• Registered a career-high three caused turnovers twice during the season, including three crucial CTs against James Madison to secure the AAC Tournament crown

Emily Heller | Sr. | Midfielder

• 2023 ILWomen Third Team All-American
• 2023 IWLCA All-Region First Team
• 2023 AAC Midfielder of the Year
• 2023 All-AAC First Team
• Three-time AAC Midfielder of the Week
• One-time AAC Honor Roll selection

• Scored a career-high five goals against Temple on April 8
• Tallied a career-high five groundballs and five caused turnovers against Mercer on March 22
• Hit 100 career points on May 4 against East Carolina

Emma LoPinto | So. | Attacker

• Has recorded 13 hat tricks this season, leading the Gators
• Hit 100 career points against Michigan in the season opener, the fastest player in Florida history to hit the mark, needing only 23 games
• Hit 100 career goals against Liberty on April 12, tying Kitty Cullen (35 games) for the fastest Florida player to achieve the milestone
