Four Gators Garner ILWomen Preseason All-America Honors
Emma LoPinto, Danielle Pavinelli named to Second Team; Emily Heller, Sarah Reznick earn spot on Third Team.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Inside Lacrosse released its Division I Preseason All-Americans on Friday morning and four Gators earned the distinction.
Emma LoPinto and Danielle Pavinelli were tabbed to the ILWomen All-America Second Team, while both Emily Heller and Sarah Reznick garnered Third Team honors.
Back in January, LoPinto, Pavinelli and Reznick earned USA Lacrosse Magazine Second Team All-America accolades.
This is the first Preseason All-America honor for Heller, while Reznick has earned three during her tenure (2022 – ILWomen, USA Lacrosse Mag; 2021 – ILWomen).
Pavinelli and LoPinto have each earned the second preseason All-America accolades of their careers.
LoPinto is one of only two sophomores (true or redshirt) to earn a spot on the Second Team and is one of only four sophomores to be tabbed to any of the four teams (First, Second, Third, Honorable Mention) this preseason.
All four honorees were named to the Preseason All-AAC Team released on Tuesday, including major award wins from Pavinelli and Reznick (Pavinelli – Attacker of the Year; Reznick – Goalkeeper of the Year).
This quartet, along with the rest of the Gators, kick off the 2022 campaign against No. 17 Michigan on Feb. 12 at 12 p.m. in the confines of Donald R. Dizney Stadium.

- Broke Florida’s freshman points record on May 5 vs. ECU – the previous record stood at 79 and has held since the first season of Florida lacrosse (Ashley Bruns – 2010)
- Finished the season with a total of 97 points, putting her fourth in NCAA history for most points in a rookie campaign
- Ranked second in the AAC in total points (97), fourth in both points per game (4.41) and assists per game (1.55) and fifth in goals per game (2.86)

- Became Florida’s 19th 100-point scorer earlier this season

- Recorded a career-high four goals and five points against Vanderbilt in the AAC Championship game on May 7
- Tallied a career-high two assists Temple on April 23, to pair with her career-best seven draw controls in the game
