NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) selected Florida Southern’s graduate student Lizzy Lynch as the National Offensive Player of the Week for Division II, May 16.

Lizzy Lynch, a native of Boca Raton, Fla., helped guide Florida Southern women’s lacrosse to a pair of wins over No. 10 Flagler (19-15) and over No. 2 Tampa (15-9) in the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Tournament, respectively.

The graduate student earns the national honors after posting 13 points in the two games where she had a seven-point performance in the win over the Saints with two goals and five assists before continuing to push the pace for the Moccasins against the Spartans with six points on five goals and one assist. She is the second player to earn National Player of the Week honors this season, marking the Mocs’ second time to win two honors in the same season, dating back to 2017 when Dani Bursinger (Offense) and Taylor Gillis (Defensive) each were named players of the week. Lynch is the eighth player to earn the honor and the fifth to be named on the offensive side.
