FSC: Three Moccasins Selected to Play in IWLCA All-Star Game

via press release – photo via FSC web site   GRAND LAKE, CO – Florida Southern College women’s lacrosse had three players selected to play in the annual IWLCA North-South All-Star Game, the IWLCA announced on Friday. Seniors Austin Brown, Taylor Gillis and Kendall Kerge will all play for the South squad, coached by Florida Southern head coach Kara Reber. The game will be held at Tierny Field at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, MD at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 3. The three all-star selections for Florida Southern are the most in program history. The Moccasins have now sent a total of 12 all-stars to the annual event. Kerge led the Moccasins with 70 goals and 83 points this season and earned IWLCA first-team all-America honors. Gillis finished the season with a 13-3 record and made 108 saves in just over 880 minutes in net, while Brown ranked third among the team’s defenders in caused turnovers (15). The Division II all-star game will be preceded by the Division I contest, and the day will close out with the Division III all-stars.
