The fallout from the Independent movement in Broward County now means that District 13 in 2A (previously D12 basically) is in Region 4 instead of its traditional Region 3. Broward AD’s continue to show they do not want to provide the resources needed to compete at the Varsity level. Cypress Bay is the BIGGEST high school in the state by enrollment but has taken this route. West Broward, a school that provided CURRENT talent to college programs very recently has now gone this route, as have Coral Springs and Taravella.

On the positive side, there are some new names of schools adding the sport.
