NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – ILWomen and the IWLCA are excited to announce the decision to join forces in the weekly Division I, II, and III polls for 2022.

The ILWomen / IWLCA Divisional Polls will consist of votes from both college coaches and media members, all of whom closely follow the weekly happenings across women’s lacrosse. Both ILWomen and the IWLCA are confident this collaboration will further strengthen the credibility of the polls, expand their reach, and simplify fans’ access points to the game.

“I think the combination of the coaches and media in a poll is something that has not been done before in lacrosse and, as we look to push the sport forward each year, getting creative in the way things are done is essential to create valuable recognition,” ILWomen Manager Alyssa Cometti says. “I am equally excited to have ILWomen begin to feature more Division II and Division III coverage, starting with the addition of those newly combined polls on our site this season.”

“As we look to continue the growth and popularity of collegiate women’s lacrosse, working with the main media outlet in the game on this weekly poll makes total sense,” notes IWLCA Executive Director, Liz Robertshaw. “ILWomen is committed to showcasing the teams, players, and coaches that make up college lacrosse to an ever-expanding fan base and we feel this is a win-win for all involved.”

The preseason poll will be released Monday, January 31 and then on a weekly basis beginning in mid-February for Division I and late February for Division II and Division III.

About ILWomen: ILWomen, a brand vertical within Inside Lacrosse, was launched in 2011 in an effort to meet the growing demand for women’s lacrosse content. Since then, ILWomen has evolved to feature content around women’s college lacrosse, women’s professional and international lacrosse and girls’ high school and recruiting content. It has spurred the creation of multiple social media channels, which have amassed more than 50,000 followers. In December 2021, Alyssa Murray Cometti was named ILWomen Manager.
