Chase Jackson Scores In The Final Minute To Secure The 12-11 Win For The Warriors

Babson Park, FL – The 2nd-ranked Warriors men’s lacrosse team grabbed their fifth win of the season as they slid past Wentworth Tech 12-11. With this, Webber moves to 5-0 on the season and 1-0 in AAC play. 

Jeremiah LooChase Jackson, and Houston Finlayson led the Warriors with three goals apiece; while Dillon ZiembaNick Sheaffer, and Daniel McClure each added one. Ryan Prynliski started in goal for the Warriors as he totaled nearly 35 minutes and five saves on 11 shots on goal. Grayson McQuaig had one save on three shots and Liam Murphy had two saves on five goal shots to give the Warriors the 12-11 win. 

After more than 12 and a half scoreless minutes, McClure got things started with a goal as Jackson earned his first assist of the game. Loo responded with back-to-back goals to give Webber a 3-0 lead. WTU scored in the final ten seconds of the first quarter to cut the Warriors’ lead to two. 

Chase Jackson opened the second quarter with a goal, assisted by Jeremah Loo. Wentworth responded with two goals to make it a one-score game. Finlayson scored consecutive goals to give Webber a three-score lead. WTU got one final goal in the last minute of the quarter as the Warriors went to the half up 6-4.  

Webber came out of the break with two straight goals to extend their lead to four before WTU got one in the goal. Both teams traded goals before WTU tied it up at 11 apiece with two minutes left. Chase Jackson had the game winning goal with less than a minute to go to secure the 12-11 win.  

The Warriors will be back in action on Wednesday, March 6th when they host Lawrence Tech at 12 PM on the Warrior Turf Field.
