Jacksonville coach John Galloway doesn’t mince words: “From an expectation standpoint, the reality is we didn’t get the job done,” he says.
That may sound odd for the Dolphins’ coach to say after taking down Duke and Denver, winning 14 games and earning a Top 10 ranking last year. But for Galloway and his team, there’s still no trophy to show for it.
“We talked a lot about the last game, as opposed to the 15 prior to it,” Galloway says about a team meeting entering the winter offseason. “Because there are a lot of guys, a lot of fifth-years that are back that have not had a chance to celebrate with the trophy. And for me, everything last year culminated into a disappointment.”
