JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville women’s lacrosse head coach Tara Singleton announced that Kacey Knobloch will be the team’s Assistant Coach. Knobloch brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished playing career from James Madison University (JMU).

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Kacey to the Dolphin family,” said head coach Tara Singleton. “Her experience, energy and passion for coaching will be a tremendous asset to our players and staff. She had an incredible collegiate career and I can’t wait to see her impact in her next phase as a coach!”

Knobloch finished her career as a Duke ranked eighth in all-time assists and fifteenth in all-time points in JMU history. As a graduate student in 2024, she earned numerous accolades, including American Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference and All-Tournament Team honors.

Despite missing the 2023 season due to injury, Knobloch’s leadership and dedication remained evident. Her earlier seasons were marked by consistent excellence, including being named First Team All-CAA in 2022 and VaSID Second Team All-State in 2021. Throughout her collegiate career, she was recognized multiple times for her academic achievements, demonstrating a strong commitment to both her sport and her studies.

“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with such an incredible staff at Jacksonville University,” said Knobloch. “I want to specifically thank Head Coach Tara Singleton and Athletics Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert for allowing me to be a part of a high-level program with a great culture. I’m honored and excited to join the family at JU and can’t wait to help contribute to the team’s success this upcoming season. ‘Phins Up!”

Knobloch graduated from James Madison with a Masters in Education, and a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies. In high school, she was a USA Lacrosse All-American in 2018 and named First Team All-State as both a junior and a senior.
