JU Women’s Lacrosse Prepares for Furman on Friday Night
JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – #23 Jacksonville Women’s Lacrosse hosts their second of two back-to-back home games on Friday night when they take on the Furman Paladins under the lights of Rock Stadium.
Jacksonville enters the game following a huge victory over the Harvard Crimson last Thursday in which they won by thirteen points, and Sarah Elms set the new school record for goals in a single game with nine.
WHO
Furman enters the match a winless 0-4 to start the season with notable losses to both #2 North Carolina (7-20) and Virginia Tech (10-21). In those four games, Furman has struggled with a goal differential of minus 49.
Jacksonville has been very successful as a program vs Furman, having beat the Paladins all seven previous times that they have played each other. The most recent match between JU and Furman on March 31, 2019, was the closest ever between the two, with JU winning by a score of 18-12.
