Benedetto Recognized by USA Lacrosse Magazine

FRANKLIN, Mass. – January 27, 2023 – Dean College men’s lacrosse junior Tyler Benedetto (Jupiter, Fla.) has been named a USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American Honorable Mention selection.

USA Lacrosse Magazine recognized a First Team, Second Team, Third Team and an Honorable Mention Team. Benedetto was one of eight players chosen as a faceoff specialist. He also was the only Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) player to be recognized by the Magazine.

Last spring, Benedetto was named GNAC First Team All-Conference. He finished the season with a 72.6% faceoff percentage while adding seven points on five goals and two assists. His win percentage was sixth best in all of Division III. Benedetto’s ability to control the draw also helped Dean to a team faceoff win percentage of 72.3%, which was third best in the nation. Benedetto also picked up 9.27 ground balls per game to rank 17th in the country.
