The No. 4 Keiser Seahawks fell at home to the No. 9 Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs on Thursday night, 9-8.

First Quarter
Keiser 3, Tennessee Wesleyan 1

  • Max Hiestand scored the first goal of the contest at the 8:50 mark. Cole Stassi tallied the assist, giving him the program record.
  • Tennessee Wesleyan knotted the game at 1-1, with 6:56 on the clock.
  • Back-to-back goals by Vincent Cerasuolo put the Seahawks ahead 3-1, with 2:27 showing. 
  • With six seconds left on the clock, Logan Dujon whizzed a shot past the goalkeeper, giving KU the 4-1 lead going into the second quarter.

Second Quarter
Keiser 6, Tennessee Wesleyan 3

  • The Bulldogs trimmed the deficit to 4-2, scoring a man-up goal with 14:32 left in the quarter.
  • Stassi got the goal back for KU, scoring with 12:19 remaining.
  • Cerasulo earned the hat-trick with 9:39 left, stretching the lead to 6-2.
  • TWU quickly responded as Jaylen Steen cut the lead to 6-3 with 9:28 showing.
  • The score remained the same going into the half, the Bulldogs outshot the Seahawks 11-8.
Third Quarter

Keiser 7, Tennessee Wesleyan 7

  • Hiestand added a goal with 13:00 on the clock, making it 7-3 in favor of Keiser.
  • TWU evened the score at 7-7, scoring four consecutive goals to end the quarter.
Fourth Quarter

Keiser 8, Tennessee Wesleyan 9

  • The Bulldogs broke the tie at the 9:47 mark, taking their first lead of the contest.
  • With 5:15 left, Cerasuolo scored his fourth goal of the game, knotting the score at 8-8.
  • TWU retook the lead, as Hayden Harmon scored with 2:40 remaining.
  • The Seahawks would have their chances towards the end, but TWU would go on to win the contest 9-8.
