DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Women’s Lacrosse head coach Caitlin Kenahan announced the schedule for the 2024 season on Thursday. The sixth season of Eagles lacrosse will feature seven home games, 10 road games and nine contests against opponents ranked in the Top 25 of the final ILWomen/IWLCA Division II national poll of 2023.

The Eagles will be road warriors to start the season as their first four games will be away from Daytona Beach.  The season opens on Feb. 3 against Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama. Two weeks later, Embry-Riddle travels to North Carolina for games against No. 13 Wingate (Feb. 17) and No. 7 Mount Olive (Feb. 20) before wrapping up the road swing with a Feb. 24 game at Lander in Savannah, Georgia.

The first home game of the year comes on Feb. 28 when ERAU hosts Flagler at the Embry-Riddle Lacrosse Field. That contest is the first of four consecutive home games for the Eagles who host No. 8 Rollins on March 1, Southern New Hampshire (RV) on March 6 and Westminster on March 9. After traveling to Rome, Georgia for a March 13 tilt against Shorter, the Eagles play their last home game of March against No. 16 Saint Anselm on the 16th.

Road games at Lee (March 24), Florida Tech and No. 22 Lynn (March 30) conclude the March slate for an Eagle team that hosts No. 2 Florida Southern (April 3) in the first contest for the month of April. A road game against Palm Beach Atlantic (April 7) and a home game against Saint Leo (April 13) precede the season finale which takes place at the home of defending Sunshine State Conference champion Tampa on April 17.

The top four teams based on the final SSC regular season standings will earn a spot in the Sunshine State Conference tournament which begins on April 20. The conference tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA II national tournament.
