Fighting Knights top Flagler 16-6

St. Augustine, Florida – The Fighting Knights would have big games offensively and defensively to take down Flagler 16-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Fighting Knights came out on fire to start the game with three straight goals. Lynn was up 3-0 before Flagler was able to get on the board.
  • Leading the way was Isabella Clark who picked up three assists in the first quarter. Five Lynn players would score in the quarter to take an early 5-3 lead.
  • The Fighting Knights were on a mission in the second quarter, allowing no goals to be scored by Flager in the quarter.
  • Kristyn Johnson scored three of the five goals for the Fighting Knights in the second quarter, leading them to a 10-3 lead at halftime.
  • The third quarter saw more dominance for Lynn, after the opening goal by Flagler in the third they would be held scoreless in the quarter.
  • Lynn opened up a 15-4 lead after three quarters. Johnson followed up her three-goal effort in the second with two more in the third quarter.
  • Flagler would score two goals in the fourth, however, the game was out of reach. The Fighting Knights put together a complete game to beat Flagler 16-6.
  • Johnson led the way offensively for the Fighting Knights with six goals and seven total points for the game. Farinas, Sydney Hill, and Carly McNeil all had two goals.
  • Clark would lead the team with five assists in the game, followed by Danielle Farinas who has three assists, along with two goals for the game.
  • The Fighting Knights would lead in all major statistical categories to get the 16-6 win over Flagler.

The Fighting Knights will be back at home to face Assumption University on Saturday, Mar. 5 at 3:30 p.m.

Lynn Shuts Flagler Offense Down

ST AUGUSTINE – Jordan Green netted a hat trick as Flagler College fell to Lynn University 16-6 at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.

The Saints fall to an even 2-2 on the year while the Fighting Knights stay undefeated at 3-0.

It was a close first quarter with Lynn jumping out to a 3-0 lead. Katelyn Trainor got Flagler on the board with a man-up goal with 2:59 left. After getting two goals, one from Green and Kaitlyn Bush, the Saints closed the first quarter down 5-3.

Lynn pulled away in the second quarter, shutting Flagler out while scoring five goals of their own. The Fighting Knights held the Saints to one shot during the period, while Flagler committed seven turnovers.

Lynn was led by Kristyn Johnson, who posted six goals. Three Fighting Knights scored twice and four others scored once.

Flagler looks to get back in the win column this coming Saturday when Palm Beach Atlantic University come to town for a 5 p.m. game.
