No. 8 women’s lacrosse led wire-to-wire in their most dominant outing of the year on Thursday afternoon in Georgetown, Ky., defeating Georgetown 18-1. Madison Andrews had six points in the game, and on her second goal, she became the program leader in points with 202 in her career. Hayley Frew tied her career-high in goals with four on the day to lead all scorers. Cassidy Green got the start in net and shut out the Tigers for 45 minutes, tallying eight saves.

First Quarter
Keiser 5, Georgetown 0

  • Milena Isturiz took the opening draw control before finding Hayley Frew who scored the first goal of the game less than 30 seconds into the contest.
  • Frew followed with back-to-back goals for the Seahawks to make it 3-0 with 12:01 left in the first.
  • With 11:49 on the clock, Madison Andrews scored a free-position shot to make it 4-0.
  • Two minutes later, it was MacKenzie Gibaud who tallied the fifth goal of the game for KU.
  • Keiser would hold on to the five-goal lead going into the second.

  • Andrews opened the second quarter by scoring her second goal of the game to make it 6-0.
  • With 9:24 on the clock, Isturiz beat her defender with a spin move and scored.
  • Gibaud and Chloe Foley continued the scoring run to make it 9-0 going into the half.
Third Quarter

Keiser 15, Georgetown 0

  • Frew tallied the first goal of the third period to give the Seahawks a 10-0 lead.
  • The Keiser scoring run continued as Samantha Esher found the back of the net.
  • Victoria Francisco tallied her first career goal with 5:53 left in the third.
  • Foley, Esher, and Lucy Single rounded out the third quarter scoring to make it 15-0 going into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter

Keiser 18, Georgetown 1

  • Georgetown tallied their first goal of the game off a wild bounce that snuck by the goalie.
  • The Seahawks scored the final three goals of the game to earn their largest win of the season, 18-1.
