Melbourne Central Catholic Alum Andrew Kearney Named Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week at Clarkson!

Senior Andrew Kearney had a solid week for the Clarkson University Men’s Lacrosse team and he was picked as the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week when the conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon.

Kearney produced eight points over the course of two games, scoring seven goals and adding an assist. Versus St. John Fisher, Kearney produced three goals in a 12-10 win over St. John Fisher. He then notched five points with four goals and one assist in a loss against second-ranked Rensselaer on Saturday afternoon.

Kearney’s week propelled him to the top of the leaderboard at Clarkson for goals scored, as he now has 28 goals in 12 games this season. His 34 points also rank second on the team, just two off the team-lead. When Kearney’s attempt is on target, he is incredibly productive, as he has scored 28 goals on just 37 shots on goal.
