Men’s Lacrosse Places Six Players on the All-PBC Teams

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Flagler College men’s lacrosse team placed six of its members on the All-Peach Belt Conference teams, according to a release this afternoon from conference officials.

First-team All-PBC members are Trace McDonaldLogan Tobias, and Jake Griffin. Second-team members are Antanas MikuzisEthan Lyles, and Tyler Douglass.

McDonald, a freshman attacker, has made a great first impression this season. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native leads the team in points with 49 as he has scored 24 goals and has a team-high 25 assists.

Tobias, a junior midfielder, has scored 29 goals in his first season with the Saints. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native and Canisius College transfer was named as the PBC Player of the Week on April 24.

Griffin, a senior faceoff, has won 117 faceoffs this year and has a team-high 70 ground balls. The Marriottsville, Maryland native has scored three goals as well as six caused turnovers.

Mikuzis, a redshirt sophomore, is tied for the team-lead with 29 goals and has 12 assists. The Western Springs, Illinois native and Canisius College transfer became the program’s first PBC Player of the Week honoree on April 10. He was also selected to the USILA Team of the Week.

Lyles, a sophomore defender and local product out of St. Augustine High, has 14 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.

Douglass, a sophomore midfielder has netted 26 goals and tallied 14 assists. The Jupiter, Florida native has scooped up 23 ground balls.

Flagler is hosting half of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament this weekend. The Saints will play the winner of the Shorter University-University of Montevallo on Sunday at 4 p.m. in a semifinal game.
