Why did you choose this college?
The main reason I chose Rutgers University is because of their amazing coaching staff and players and they have one of the top Lacrosse programs in the country. Additionally, I chose Rutgers University because I want to go to a large school that is a part of the Big Ten Conference to play Lacrosse and I really felt that I will be able to immerse myself into the school’s culture. I also loved the campus when I went on my official visit a few weeks ago and was comfortable with the layout of the campus and facilities.

What Advice Would You Give Those Starting the Recruiting Process?
Some advice that I would give those starting the Recruiting Process is to always keep your options open and to be patient. Emailing and reaching out to potential colleges is so important prior to September 1st of your junior year which should include your upcoming tournaments that you will be playing in and getting as much film as you can for your highlight reels. September 1st of your Junior year is also very different than I expected. Do not be upset if you do not get as many calls or emails as you were hoping for on the first day, be patient.

Who Would You Like to Thank for Getting You to Here?
I would like to definitely thank my parents for supporting me through this journey, as well as my friends, teammates, and all of my coaches that helped guide me both in Minnesota and in Florida. I also want to thank my coaches at Storm Select (Orlando) for helping me become a better player and coaching me through this process.

What are your first memories of the sport?
My first memories of the sport occurred when I was living in my home state of Minnesota. I started playing lacrosse when I was in 2nd grade because my brother played it so I was thought it was cool. I really enjoyed the games even when the temperature was very cold in Minnesota. I was taller than most of the girls, so I could get open a lot and was able to run and and score. I remember one game when I scored the first 9 goals and it was tied, my parents were yelling to me to pass the ball and the other parents wanted me to score to win the game. Needless to say, we won the game.

What is Your Favorite Memory From Your High School Career?
My favorite memory from my high school career was when we played Berkeley Prep my freshman year. It was 40 degrees out and everyone was freezing. It was a close game at the beginning and I went down and scored 3 in a row to give Newsome the win during one of our district games.

What is Your Stick Brand? And Why?
My stick brand is STX. I love how light the shaft and head are and I also love the mesh on the Crux Pro head which has been working well for me.

Which Lacrosse Player Do You Most Want to Have a Meal With and Why?
I would want to have lunch with Charlotte North because she is the best player in women’s lacrosse right now. I would want to ask her how she went from getting no playing time at Duke to never coming off the field at Boston College? And I would want to ask her how it feels to be a Tewaaraton Trophy winner. She is amazing on the field and her speed and strength really sets her apart.

Do You Watch College & Pro Games and What Are You Watching for to Make You a Better Player?
Yes, I do watch a lot of the College and Pro lacrosse games. I love to watch them to learn from the college players and to find ways to elevate my game. My Dad and I sit and analyze the plays and figure out how I can incorporate some of the moves in my game play.

What’s Your Go-To Meal After a Game?
My go-to meal after a game is a Poke bowl.

What’s the One Thing Your Teammates Would be Surprised to Know About You?
My teammates would be surprised to know that I really enjoy painting. During quarantine I had so much free time that I wanted to try new things. I started painting and really enjoyed it during quarantine, as it gave me something to do and I still continue to enjoy it today.
