College Choice
Vanderbilt University
Why did you choose this college?
Vanderbilt is the perfect blend between incredible lacrosse and academics. I fell in love with the coaches, campus and team as soon as I walked on campus.
What Advice Would You Give Those Starting the Recruiting Process?
Play with your heart. If you don’t love it, it will show on the field. Make sure you’re training and practicing outside of your team practices so you will be able to do your best in game situations. The summer tournament season is long and it’s important that you’re ready both mentally and physically.
Who Would You Like to Thank for Getting You to Here?
There are so many people that have helped me get to this point but I would like to thank my family, my teammates, John McClain, Eileen Pliske, Demmianne Cook, Mike Riggio, Bianca Diaz, Tony Sands, Medon Michaelides, D1 training and Garnett & Vicky Byrd.
What are your first memories of the sport?
I remember my first team – Landsharks. We had so much fun and it helped me build a great love of the game.
What is Your Favorite Memory From Your High School Career?
Last high school season, we won the district championship. It was amazing because my best friend was
a senior on the team and it was incredible to get to win together in one of our last games playing together.
What is Your Stick Brand? And Why?
STX – From the first time I picked it up, it just felt right.
Which Lacrosse Player Do You Most Want to Have a Meal With and Why?
Charlotte North- I went to a summer lacrosse camp when I was in 9th grade. Charlotte North was my counselor and I would like to talk to her to learn more about her journey. When I was a freshman, I didn’t know what questions to ask but would love to talk to her now.
Do You Watch College & Pro Games and What Are You Watching for to Make You a Better Player?
I love watching games, pro, college, high school and travel games. I have been very fortunate to be a part of great programs that have a lot of film. That film has helped me learn about offensive and defensive plays. It’s easy to know when you didn’t do something right but it’s easier to learn “why” you didn’t do it right by looking at film.
What’s Your Go-To Meal After a Game?
After a game, I have to have my Chick Fil A (except on Sundays!)
What’s the One Thing Your Teammates Would be Surprised to Know About You?
I’m very close with my teammates but I think they would be surprised to know that I’m a country music fan.
