Stetson Lacrosse Locked in on ’23 Season

DELAND, Fla. – Hatter Lacrosse returns to action for the spring 2023 campaign with 17 total events 9 home games with 8 on the road.

With returning award-winning talent like ASUN All-Conference Second Team players Samantha Paglino and Mia Judd, along with All-Freshman team honorees Fiona Williams and Katie Kornacki, the Hatters look to push further this season. A talented incoming freshman class, coupled with Duquesne transfer Sam King has augmented the resources at head coach Christy Leach as she enters her ninth year. SU returns a pair of 20-plus goal scorers in Paglino and Jordyn Humphrey, coupled with Judd, ASUN preseason All-conference selection, looks poised to turn heads this year.

The ’23 campaign starts on the road at Buies Creek, North Carolina with Campbell, a rematch of last season’s opener and a former ASUN foe.

The following weekend the Hatters return home for a seven-match home stand. Canisius makes the journey to DeLand on February 19 to open the home slate. George Washington and Duquesne start and finish the weekend of the February 24 with GW playing at 3 p.m. on Friday the 24thh and the A-10’s Pittsburgh institution member on Monday at noon.

Umass Lowell and Merrimack will line up across the field at the ATC on Sunday, March 5 and Saturday, March 11 with both contests starting at noon.  Saint Francis (Pa.) comes to DeLand, Florida following that for midweek action Tuesday, March 14 at 11:30; that game will be on ESPN+.

Eight days later Wagner will visit Florida for the last non-conference home game for the Hatters with a noon start.

The Hatters will travel to Hartford, Connecticut for a test of their endurance with back-to-back games against Hartford Sunday the 26th at noon and Central Connecticut State 25 hours following.

Lindenwood makes its ASUN member debut against the Hatters on April 6 [Thursday]. That match will be a 4 p.m. start at St. Charles, Missouri as the first of a four-game ASUN road swing. Kennesaw State [April 8] Liberty [April 15] and Delaware State [April 16] conclude the trip.

Queens and Coastal Carolina come to the ATC as the final pair of home games. The Royals will play the Hatters on ESPN+ on Thursday, April 20 with a 3 p.m. start. CCU wraps the home slate on April 22 at noon.

Six days later faces JU in Jacksonville to close out the regular season. That match will start at 4 p.m.

With aspirations for a second trip to Jacksonville, Florida, the Hatters will have their eyes set on the ASUN tournament which will take place five days following the final regular season contest.
