Spartans Rewrite History Just Three Days Later
TIGERVILLE, S.C. – After setting a new program record for goals scored in a single game (26) just three days earlier, Tampa has a new record now.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Much like the previous game the Spartans opened up the scoring. Sarah Hinkle would score the games’ first goal after a feed from Riley McGettigan. Hinkle would find the net six more times later in the contest. Tampa would continue to be dominant on offense ending the first quarter leading 10-0. Six different players would find themselves on the score sheet to end the first quarter – Cece Colombo, Peyton Howell, Isabella Avila, Gracie Colombo, Molly Shapiro and Hinkle. UT would continue their offensive run into the second quarter increasing their lead to 15-0 and head into halftime shutting out their opponent. Allie Peebles and Jenna Myhal would also score their first goals of the game.
North Greenville would score to open the second half ending the Spartans run. The Spartans would respond scoring the games’ final 13 goals to put Tampa up 28-1 and set a new program record for goals scored in a single game.

TAMPA POST-GAME NOTES
- Four Spartans recorded hat tricks – Sarah Hinkle (7), Gracie Colombo (5), Peyton Howell (4) and Cece Colombo (3).
- Tampa has now tallied 90 total shots in the last two games.
- Spartans have scored 54 goals in just two games.
- Hinkle led all players in goals (7) and points (9).
- Coach Kelly Gallagher picked up her 93 career win.
- Alex Walling has allowed only four goals the last in two games.
