Breaking: New FHSAA Classes and District Assignments Substantially Change Lacrosse Landscape

I’ll analyze the Boys’ side first and hopefully there will be readers able to send me some insight on the Girls’ side too.   Class 1A is for the smaller schools and Class 2A is for the larger schools, basically the same number of schools in each. 16 districts in each Class, based on what I heard there will be only the winner of the District making the FHSAA brackets. At a quick glance: 8 teams in District 7 in 1A and 4 in District 2, the rest fall in between in size. Multiple districts in the Southeast have 7 teams, no Class 2A district has 4 and most are 6 teams

There are some BRUTAL districts, both good and bad.

Here’s a prediction to the FHSAA . . . if you wonder why your attendance takes a hit at next year’s Final Four . . . LOOK IN THE MIRROR.

  More analysis to come.
