The Lions Push Past Young Harris with a 19-6 Win

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men’s lacrosse gets the job done with a 19-6 win over Young Harris.

The Lions now move to 3-3 after win.

 
In the first quarter, Senior Adem Tekmen kicked things off for the Lions scoring a goal less than two minutes into the game.
 
Saint Leo finished the quarter strong going ahead with a 7-2 lead heading into the second quarter.
 
Junior Guy Bistrow extended the Lions lead early in the second quarter which was the first of four goals that Saint Leo scored in the quarter before halftime.
 
In the third quarter, Young Harris got the scoring going first but Freshman Isaac Wills responded just one minute after giving the Lions all the momentum back as they scored four straight goals going into the fourth.
 
Saint Leo showed their strength in the fourth quarter by scoring 11 seconds in as Bistrow struck once again with the assist coming from Freshman Greg Palmer.
 
The Green & Gold closed out the game on a strong note as the final score was 19-6.
 
The Lions leading goal scorer was Greg Palmer with four goals while also tallying two assists.
 
Junior Michael Flores was a massive strength in the face off game for the Lions once again as he went 19-23 against the Mountain Lions.
 
Junior Chase Strait was a rock in net with 11 saves as he adds another win to his record.
 
Up next, the Lions go back on the road as they travel to St. Augustine, FL to take on Flagler College on March 11th. Face off is scheduled for 7:00pm.
