
Thirty-Three Named to ALL-SSC Women’s Lacrosse Teams in 2023
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Thirty-three student-athletes are recognized as All-Conference following the ninth season of Sunshine State Conference women’s lacrosse. Jackie Stoller of Florida Southern collects Player of the Year accolades, while Tampa’s Kelly Gallagher is selected Coach of the Year. Rebecca Clark of Lynn and Jessica Harclerode of Saint Leo share the year’s Freshman of the Year honors. Voting for the All-SSC Women’s Lacrosse Team was conducted among the league’s head coaches.

Stoller, a midfielder from Wayland, Massachusetts, ranks first in SSC points per game (5.05), third in assists per game (1.89), fourth in goals per game (3.16), and eighth in shots per game (5.16). Over 19 games this season, the graduate student accumulated 96 points off 60 goals and 36 assists with a .612 shooting percentage. Stoller becomes the third Florida Southern women’s lacrosse athlete to earn Player of the Year honors1. The Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year award is presented by College Ave Student Loans.
Clark, a midfielder from Abington, Pennsylvania, appeared in all 18 games this season for Lynn. She finished the season Top-4 in team goals (25), groundballs (26), caused turnovers (16), and draw controls (44). Clark is the first Fighting Knight to be named Freshman of the Year.
Harclerode, a goalkeeper from Sayville, New York, started all 17 games for Saint Leo in 2023, spending 939 minutes between the pipes. She led the conference in total saves (158) and saves per game (9.29) and finished second in save percentage (.449). Harclerode is the third consecutive Lion to win Freshman of the Year accolades2.
Gallagher is selected Coach of the Year after piloting Tampa to the 2023 SSC regular season and tournament titles. Under her leadership, the Spartans own a 17-2 overall record, a 7-0 mark in league play, and the No. 3 IWLCA ranking. This season the Spartans led the league in scoring margin (8.1), woman-down goals per game (.21), shots per game (33.95), goals against average (8.51), ground balls per game (21.89), and fewest turnovers per game (13.00). Gallagher remains the first from Tampa to be honored as Coach of the Year and is the first coach to win the award three times.
The 2022 SSC Player of the Year, Caroline Gastonguay of Rollins, and FSC’s duo of Hailey Daleo and Lizzy Lynch join a short list of women with three or more First Team All-SSC plaques3. Tampa’s Dani Waters collects a fourth straight All-SSC honor after First Team nods in 2022 & 2023 and Second Team recognition in 2019 & 2021. Half of the 2023 honorees repeat as all-conference, including eight athletes collecting their third career award.
