Gators now have 43 total Tewaaraton nominations in program history

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Seniors Emily Heller and Danielle Pavinelli have been named to the 2024 Tewaaraton Watch List announced on Friday.

The Gators have now had 20 players with 43 total nominations for this award in their program history. This is Heller’s second time being on the watch list and Pavinelli’s third time. Pavinelli was also a member of the top 25 list in 2022.

Of the 43 nominations, Florida has had a total of 15 honors for the top-25 list, and five finalists for the award.

This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the award, which annually honors the most outstanding male and female college lacrosse players in the Untied States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.

Players not named to this initial list will have opportunities to play their way into a spot as the season progresses. The list will be narrowed down to 25 in April and five finalists will be announced for men’s and women’s in early May. Below is the complete list of the Florida Tewaaraton award history.
