Bryce Dalton – Wellington High School
Position: D/LSM
Height/Weight: 6′ 185
Club Team: Florida Elite and Team Florida
Honors: All District 2013
Why Did You Choose Brevard College?
New program, beautiful area, small college that offered my major. Coach Anderson is a great communicator and was up front about the opportunity from the beginning. He has a great vision of the program.
Was the recruiting process what you thought it would be?
It was ok, a lot more work than I thought. All in all it was good.
How Would You Describe Your Game And What Do You Want To Improve On?
Athletic defender capable of playing all four defensive positions. I like an up tempo, pressing defense that would allow me to bring the ball across midfield and look to get the quick score. I feel like I have to work on my left hand more too.
What Was Your First Lacrosse Experience?
My very first was when I was 10 or 11 playing a short rec camp where all we played with was a soft ball and fiddlesticks. My first real experience was in the 7th grade playing for the Wellington Wolfpack, this was the first year of organized youth lacrosse in Wellington.
Who Was Your Biggest Lacrosse Influence?
My first Rec coach, Tim Milano. He was very patient and took the time to teach us the game without getting frustrated. When we became pretty good, he took none of the credit. He is probably the best coach I have ever had in any sport. I owe a lot to him. His son Ryan, from Cardinal Newman is going to be a great player at the next level.
Which College/Pro Players Do You Like Watching The Most?
Jessie Bernhardt, Tucker Durkin, Logan Schuss,
What Is Your Lacrosse Goal For This Season?
To win our 3rd consecutive district title, beat St. Andrews and get into the final 4 of the state playoffs.
