Bolles and Mandarin High School faced off in a district 2 match up last night. In a night where Bolles walked away with an 18-2 victory, the real story came in Bolles’ Captain, Senior attackman Teddy Powell. Teddy celebrated his birthday in style, with 5 goals and 7 assists, for a total of 12 points, including an awesome behind the back goal that made the FloridaLacrosseNews.com “Video of the week!” Teddy Powell Behind the Back Shot Beyond Teddy, the Bulldogs put together a total team effort, recording 24 first half shots as they built a 9-1 lead. Junior face-off man Tyler Gibson, sophomore attackman Michael Hauiesen, and junior midfielder Alex Ruiz each added two goals, while the Bulldogs played solid defense behind seniors Riley Olson (Cpt.), Duffy Flynn, Nathan Theus (a football signee with Georgia), and junior Zach Ashourian. Bolles improved to 3-1 heading into one of their marquee matchups of the season against Episcopal High School (2-1) on Saturday.  Mandarin drops to 1-3 but looks to get things back on track when they travel to Menendez(2-2) next Tuesday.
