Bracket Challenge Final Results!!

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
Thanks to all the participants of our First Annual Bracket Challenge! Certainly on the path to one day challenging the NCAA Basketball Brackets for supremacy in the sports world . . . One day. Okay, a lot of days. Probably more than I have left. But you don’t get anywhere by shooting low!   Anyhow.   First, given that you got 1 point for the first round, 2 points for the second round, 4 for the regional finals, 6 for the semifinals and 7 for the finals, that meant a perfect bracket got you 67 points.   AND A BILLION DOLLARS FROM WARREN BUFFETT!   Sorry, wrong tournament.   So here are the results!   1st Place  –  Josh Gracia with 64 points! 2nd Place  –  Tied with 59 points:  Kepler Funk and Reed Reynolds! 4th Place  –  Bernard Julian with 58 points!   Josh’s only two mistakes were picking Wellington over Oxbridge in the first round and Plant over Dr. Phillips in the second round. Interestingly only two people had the complete Final Four correct, one being Josh and Jordan Bensimana.  No one else had the correct Final 4, Final 2 and Champion!   Congrats to our winner!   For Josh Gracia he has two choices of prizes;  the first is a signed 4×6 index card by Senior Writer Lee Roggenburg . . . the other option is a signed yellow sticky version of the first one, making it easy to attach to your refrigerator or computer! Or you could take Door #3, made famous on the hit TV show ‘Let’s Make A Deal’! But frankly Josh, bragging rights for the entire Florida lacrosse world certainly would be enough for me!   Congrats again to Josh and just let us know which prize you would prefer . . .
