Breaking: IMG Program Director Bill Shatz No Longer With The Program

FLN has learned that Bill Shatz, the main driving force behind the growth and performance of the IMG Lacrosse program, has parted ways with IMG Academy last week.
Sources indicate the split is based mostly on how the two sides viewed further growth in the program and how best to work towards that goal. Shatz was hired to replace Kevin Finneran as Program Director in 2011. Mark Burnam, head coach of the IMG Academy Varsity program, which plays a mostly Florida high school schedule, will most likely serve as interim head coach of the IMG National team to finish out the season as IMG conducts a national search for Shatz’s replacement. IMG National plays an out of state travel schedule at the mostly post-graduate/boarding school level. Requests for confirmation at IMG were not returned as of yet.
