ST. AUGUSTINE-  Having coached at FIT, Jacksonville University, CCBC Essex, and the Bolles School, Duncan brings a wealth of collegiate coaching experience and a record of success. He worked this past year as an assistant coach/offensive coordinator for the Florida Tech lacrosse program where he guided the #15 ranked offense in the country. Prior to this, Duncan was the Head Coach of the Bolles School where he led the team to an 8-11 record in 2013 and a 10-5 record in 2014. Duncan served as assistant coach for Division 1 Jacksonville University from 2009-2011, during which time he was instrumental in taking the team to the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) final four in the second year of the program’s existence. Duncan began his coaching career in 1999 at CCBC Essex (Community College of Baltimore County Essex) as an assistant coach where he helped in leading the team to NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) final four appearances in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003 and Championship appearances in 1999, 2002, and in 2003. In 2004 Duncan was named Head Coach at CCBC. That season, Essex went on to be crowned NJCAA national champions with a 19-0 record which made them one of only three teams from the state of Maryland to win the championship in over 30 years. Duncan was also voted NJCAA national coach of the year in 2004. Duncan’s teams made NJCAA final four appearances in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2009 while making NJCAA championships again in 2005 and 2008. Brian Duncan played college lacrosse at UMBC (University of Maryland Baltimore County) from 1989-1992 where he scored 36 goals and had 19 assists in his career with 211 faceoff wins and lead the team in ground balls with 91 in his senior season. Duncan was also voted by his teammates to be named a team captain his junior and senior year. He was drafted into professional indoor lacrosse by Pittsburgh in 1993 and by Baltimore in 1994.
