Cardinal Mooney won their second district game against Berkeley Prep last night. In front of a home crowd, filled with last years senior class of players home on Spring Break, the Cougars dominated the first quarter 5-0. In the second quarter Prep turned on it’s defense and stymied the Mooney offense. The Cougars came out of half time hot though and never looked back. The Cougars’ attackemen had a strong night with Mikey Kahl getting a season high 5 goals while Drew Morgan and Nate Bobbitt both tallied 2 goals and 2 assists a piece. Coaches quote: Best showing for us yet. Berkeley was the best team we’ve played in a couple of weeks and we rose to the occasion.
