Jensen Beach Head Coach Matt Sofarelli has resigned his position at the school to take the Athletic Director position at The Pine School in Hobe Sound.  Matt contacted us with the following statement: “Just an FYI, took the Athletic Director job at The Pine School. Just started after break. Obviously won’t be coaching at Jensen anymore. Joe and the rest of my crew still there for at least this season. I will be trying to build the Pine School back up in terms of there lacrosse program as I will be assuming the head coach role for that team now as well as Athletic Director duties. Brent Mahieu (long time assistant at Jensen) will assume head coach duties for them.” The Pine School particpated the last two years as an Independent after last competing in District 19 in 2014 and finished with a 1-7 record last season. Coach Sofarelli led the Falcons to an 11-6 record last season, falling to Vero Beach in the District 19 finals and finished #17 in the final Media Poll Top 20.
