Coaches Top 10 Poll for Week Ending April 7th

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
The Top Ten Coaches Poll is brought to you by Team Florida this season.  Entering its 9th year, the Florida Elite Showcase has placed more players in top level college lacrosse programs than any other club travel team.  The Team Florida Summer Showcase will take place May 10-11 at it’s new home in Palm Coast this year. Registration is now open. Here are the results of our seventh weekly Coaches Poll.  Nineteen teams received at least one Top 10 vote!  Good luck to the teams as the season enters the final stages and thanks to the coaches who took the time to participate! The top seven schools remained in their position from last week and there is some movement at the bottom.  Interestingly enough Pope John Paul II dropped out of the Top 10 even though they didn’t lose and that is only by one point as the nature of the lack of voters last week too effect. Vero’s slide took them completely out of the Top 10.  Also, the coaches have finally taken a liking to Gulf Coast, as they make their season debut in the polls following their victory over Vero on Saturday.  St. Thomas Aquinas reappears as the voters give them recognition for the way they have rebounded as they got healthier.  Lake Mary also returns following their solid win over Lake Brantley and their close loss to Saint Andrew’s.

Some of the games to look forward to this week were already played and a couple of the results will definitely impact the next round of voting. Next week will be the last Coaches Poll for the regular season and then we will ask the Coaches to vote for a final poll after the playoffs have ended. Thanks for reading and remember to get out to a game this week, ESPECIALLY if you don’t have a rooting interest.  Remember, the season does not start up again until February 2015 and why wait until then?
