Columbus Catholic Alumn, Nicky Rodrigo, Continues to Excel at Regis College

WESTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive week, Nicky Rodrigo (Miami, Fla.) of the Regis College men’s lacrosse team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week; it was announced by the conference’s offices on Monday morning. Rodrigo picked up 14 points in a two win week for his team. Rodrigo scored four goals, dished out two assists, and scooped up three ground balls in the Pride’s 18-2 win over Green Mountain on Tuesday. The sophomore attack then recorded five goals, three assists, three ground balls, and forced one caused turnover in the Pride’s 13-7 win over Maine Farmington on Saturday afternoon. Through seven games this season, Rodrigo ranks among league leaders in goals (21), assists (8), points (29), and shots (58). He and the rest of the Pride (5-2), winners of four straight, travel to take on Emerson on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
