Coral Shores High School senior defender and team captain, Katharine Hamer, signs her National Letter of Intent committing to the #5 nationally ranked Florida Gators D-1 women’s lacrosse team for the 2015 season.

Katharine started playing lacrosse as a freshman at Coral Shores where she immediately became a starting defender due to her outstanding athleticism. Katharine has helped lead the Coral Shores Lady Canes to win District Championships each of the last 3 seasons she has played, and played a major part in helping the Lady Canes achieve a win/loss record of 30 – 11. Kat was named a US Lacrosse Academic All American in 2013 and has been named to the All District Teams & All Regional Teams the last 3 years.
The Gators are very hopeful that they will be returning to the final four this year again to complete for a National Championship. The head coach for the Florida Gators is Amanda O’Leary.
