Sorensen, a senior from Victoria, British Columbia, earned a spot on the 2015 NCAA Division II All-America Third Team, joining former defenseman DJ Lubs, a two-time Honorable Mention, as the only other Moc to earn All-America accolades.

Overall, Sorensen finished his senior campaign with a team-leading 55 points and 48 goals, the latter ranking first in the Sunshine State Conference and currently fourth in the nation. He currently leads Division II in goals per game for the second straight season with an average of 3.43. The 6-1 attacker has led the team in goals scored in each of his four seasons at FSC, resulting in a program-record 175 in his career, which leads all active Division II players. His 220 career points are more than double that of the next closest player on the program’s all-time list and rank third among all active players. He also graduates with team single-game records for most points (12), goals (10) and assists (five). Sorensen was crowned the 2015 SSC Player of the Year and, for the second consecutive season, an All-SSC First Team honoree. He opened the season with seven goals and nine points against Pfeiffer on Feb. 7. He added seven more goals against nationally-ranked Tampa on March 7. In the conference win over Rollins on March 14, he scored eight times, the second-most goals in a game in FSC history, and added one assist for his second nine-point performance of the season.   To view the complete list of 2015 USILA All-Americans, click here.   Travis Larner Athletic Communications Assistant Florida Southern College 111 Lake Hollingsworth Dr. Lakeland, FL 33801 E: tlarner@flsouthern.edu P: 863-680-4256
