The Keiser Seahawks Men’s Lacrosse Coach, Patrick Johnston, announced Nick Dwyer as the fifth member of his inaugural recruiting class. Dwyer is a 6-2, 230 pound goalie from East Ridge HS in Clermont, Florida.
Nick was awarded East Ridge High School’s One Knight Award as a senior for “being an overall great player with a great attitude towards the team.”
Dwyer started all 11 games for the Knights, turning away 112 shots on goal and earning an overall save percentage of 56% in his senior campaign.
“Nick is a real presence in the cage,” Coach Johnston stated. “He sees the ball, he has great vision in the clearing game, and moves remarkably quick for a big man. Nick is also a real competitor and a team-first kind of player which will help us establish a dynamic culture here at Keiser.”
Dwyer added, “I chose Keiser because it gives me the ability to stay in Florida and further my education and start a life for myself. Also because this is the first year Keiser will have a men’s lacrosse team, I’m looking forward to starting program and expanding it. I have high expectations for my future team and hope to bring home a championship.”
Nick will be majoring in Sports Management.
