The ELEV|8 Sports Institute headquartered in Florida has named James Beardmore Field Director in Lacrosse

Delray Beach, Fla. (February 4, 2013) – ELEV|8 Sports Institute, which recently announced the addition of lacrosse to its menu of sports, has just added another major component adding even more expertise to their coaching staff.  The world class lacrosse program at ELEV|8 is headed by Executive Director Tony Lowe and has Jeff Goldberg as Director of Coaching.  They have now added James Beardmore to their staff as Field Director. ELEV|8 lacrosse includes training camps, competitive team play, individual training, and a nine month residential academy.
Beardmore has a rich history in the sport of lacrosse most recently as the Head Coach of Major League Lacrosse’s Denver Outlaws. A standout player at University of Maryland, Beardmore was ACC MVP in 1987 as well as a 1st team All American. He was also named Goalie of the Year by National Selection.
As a coach, Beardmore has had an impact at all levels of the sport.  He has served as Director of Nike Lacrosse camps and in 2006 was named Coach of the Year by both the Baltimore Sun and Washington Post. The former Severna Park High School Coach won State Titles in 2004 and 2006 and was Head Coach of the Denver Outlaws in the MLL in 2006. James will be the Defensive Coordinator for the Elev|8 Academy team set for their first season in the 2013-2014 school year. He will also serve on staff for Elev|8 Blue Chip training, Snipers Club Lacrosse teams and will launch the James Beardmore Goalie Academy at Elev|8.
“Coach Beardmore’s experience at all levels of the game makes him a great fit for building our academy,” said Tony Lowe, Executive Director of Lacrosse.  “I believe he will be a great compliment to Coach Goldberg and will further our mission of providing the best coaches and training to lacrosse players across the country.”
“I’m very impressed by the Elev|8 training system. It reminds me of what’s available in Baltimore and Long Island. Providing athletes an opportunity to train year round is going to help Florida lacrosse get to the next level,” said Coach Beardmore. ”I’m really excited to work with Coach Goldberg and Tony Lowe and build something special at Elev|8”
