Thirty lacrosse teams met at the Northwest Recreation Complex in Apopka Florida over the weekend for the Second Annual Reindeer Rumble. With amazing weather and spectacular fields, this was a weekend of great lacrosse in an up-tempo 7v7 format.  Most of the games were very fast paced with lots of scoring.  Stated Co-Tournament Director and Braveheart and Lake Highland Prep Head Coach Chris Spaulding: “What an amazing weekend of lacrosse in Orlando.  The weather was great and the competition was amazing!” In the U-19 Elite division Braveheart defeated the Ponte Vedra Possums 15-14 in a very competitive game that went back and forth and wasn’t decided until the last 10 seconds.  Both teams went undefeated in pool play and did not disappoint in a rematch from the 2012 Final- Four. JM31 routed the Patriots 23-5 to win the championship as they cruised in the U17 Division. Co-Tournament Director and JM31 Head Coach Mark Ayad was proud of his program.  “We named our club team JM31 in honor of one of the best in Orlando, John McCarthy. I have a feeling he has helped us throughout this fall and he would have been proud of how all of our teams did this fall, especially wrapping up with a championship.” The Ponte Vedra Possums ran away with the JV bracket championship defeating the runner up JM31, and Braveheart in round robin play. The Ponte Vedra Possums continued to excel in the U11 and U9 brackets winning both championships, beating Swarm Black and Braveheart respectively.
