Two teams who need no introduction match up tonight in what most likely will be a preview of the District 20 final.   Both teams have the firepower to go all the way if they get healthy and start to hit on all cylinders come play-off time.  Last year they split games, with Jupiter winning the regular season contest and Benjamin advancing in the play-offs in what senior writer Lee Roggenburg called “a state final caliber game.”   The stands in Warrior Country will be packed on this chilly night.  So, here we go: Goalie:  Anthony Cicio and Viper Scheele are two of the best and both headed to D1 schools.  Edge:  Even Defense:  Jerry O’Connor, John Dorsett and Danny Borislow are tough as nails, but we think Connor Alexander, Braylen Sampson and John Flanary have looked a tad better this year.  Edge:  Jupiter Face-Off:  Jupiter continues to improve, but Andrew Packer has emerged for Benjamin:  Edge:  Benjamin Midfield:  Ryan Silvester, McKenna Johnson, Bobby O’Leary, Will Nicklaus and Colin O’Hare have been solid all season for Benjamin.  Peter Cox, Jake Steiger, Lars Coughlin, Ben White, Kane Cochran and Austin Starts are equally skilled.  Edge:  Even Attack:  Both teams are under construction and repair.   Jupiter’s Zach Crotty is one of the best in the state and has worked well with Michael Dean, Alex Derrico and Tommy Pinkham.  The Warriors look forward to the return of Jesse Foertmeyer and Davis Yates in the next few weeks.   Andrew Packer, Jeremy Stauffer and Patrick Clancy are solid.  Edge:  Even Intangibles: Jupiter comes off its first loss and will be hungry at home.  Benjamin just returned from a tough group of games against MIAA teams in Maryland and will be ready.  Jupiter’s natural grass field will be an adjustment for the Bucs.  St. Andrew’s topped Benjamin, but Jupiter easily handled the Scots.  Edge:  Jupiter Lee’s prediction:  Jupiter 10, Benjamin 7 Enjoy the night and bring your woolies!
